Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer.........I was in the MRI machine for an hour this morning, meeting with my cancer doctor. Very overwhelming. Can't say I didn't cry, but I did. You know, the more I talked to my doctor I got the sudden comfort of knowing that this disease is curable, loosing one breast is better then loosing my life. So........my treatment will be chemotherapy, a mastectomy of my right breast then reconstruction. The next week will be about planning and getting ready for the chemo the following week with surgery to follow. I encourage you to read as much as you can and learn....I know that I will. Scared, yes but I know by the grace of God and your loving prayers that I will make it through and tell my story to others......
